SLOW TEXTILES
Looking at the rings of a slow growing tree, there are many all packed together, each representing a period of growth.
Like a slow growing tree, each stitch slowly adds together to create this ripple of growth.
Each pair of earrings, took between two to four hours to grow.
They are very lightweight and can hardly be felt when worn.
REST IN PEACE JUDY
This was the last exhibition Judy and I did together, three wonderful years of coming together to celebrate the work we had made each year.
Judy and I met at an exhibition she at work in with the Canterbury Potters Association held at the Canterbury Museum. She had talked of selling her work from her garage, I had never run an event to sell my work and so we started chatting about coming together to create an event to showcase our work together.
It was such a joy to have spent this time together!
